A Community of Service
In these difficult times it is important to show our love for God and one another through our actions. These are just a few of the ways you can serve the community this Christmas season.
Youth Ministry Service Project – Jan. 8, 2012
On Sunday January 8 from 4:00 – 6:00pm the youth will be serving at a local shelter with various projects. Please invite your friends (or your child’s friends) to attend as well since it is important to encourage a culture of service in the next generation. We may also need additional adults on hand to drive carpool and assist chaperoning.
Please let us know you are coming by emailing grow(at)cokesburymargate.org or call the office at 954-972-3424.
Mission Work Day – Dec. 10, 2011
On Saturday December 10 at 8:30am we will gather for a day of light service projects at the homes of elderly members of the local community. We will start with some music and communion at Cokesbury and then divide the work up and travel out to our destinations in teams. Please let us know if you know of a friend or neighbor who needs a few helping hands.
Please let us know you are coming or request some helping hands by emailing grow(at)cokesburymargate.org or call the office at 954-972-3424.
Monthly Food Bank
The Food Bank helps meet a great need in our community, and each month there are more people seeking help. We need you to help us explore new ways of obtaining donations. Speak with your employer about holding a food drive, call and write letters to businesses, or get your friends and neighbors involved. We need not just your ideas, but your action to continue meeting the needs of our community.
On Monday November 28 from 4:30 – 6:30pm we will be giving away 100 bags of groceries, for free. Thank you to all those who have given their time, energy, money, and donations of non-perishable food!
Email your ideas or willingness to help to grow(at)cokesburymargate.org or call the office at 954-972-3424.
