Honestly, being a disciple of Jesus is not easy. Each Christian must intentionally strive for deeper faith and obedient action. This is not legalism, but instead it is done in response as thanks for what God has done for us through the sacrifice of his son Jesus to give us the gift of eternal life at no cost to us. Methodism has always placed an emphasis on small groups as the place where discipleship takes root. We continuously strive to renew our minds to deepen our faith and challenge ourselves to act as Jesus would.
