The Gathering 2009
The Gathering
The play The Gathering is a performance and dinner usually held in the Fellowship Hall or courtyard where actors mingle with the guests over dinner and then share their stories of how Jesus had an impact on their life.
The setting for the play is shortly after the crucifixion of Jesus, at the home of Joseph of Aramathea, the wealthy man who lent his toomb for the body of Jesus. Several of the men and women whom Jesus healed and lived with during his life and ministry on earth share powerful stories of forgiveness and love that make us reflect on how God has touched our lives two centuries later.
The Gathering is normally held during the season of Lent near Ash Wednesday or Easter. If you would like to attend, or help make sure this powerful play is made a reality each year, please call the office.
