2009 VBS FUNdraiser

Proceeds from the 2009 VBS Fish Fry and week's activities (after cost) are going to support the construction of a sustainable village in Haiti. This project was launched in cooperation with Food for the Poor and is a joint effort with that organization and the seven churches, including Cokesbury, of the local United Methodist cluster of churches.

The project calls for five phases: the construction of a fishing warf and boats for large catches, rebuilding an abandoned United Methodist sanctuary, constructing a medical clinic, school and houses, and providing the seeds and materials for growing crops. We hope that you will continue to support this joint mission, and bring the hope of sustainable sources of food, education, and community to the empoverished people of Haiti.
