Cokesbury United Methodist Church

On Sunday May 20th Cokesbury UMC is participating in the Change the World Event. From 12 noon to 2pm we will be having a canned food drive to stock the Cokesbury Food Pantry for the summer. We provide free food the 2nd & 4th  Monday of every month from 4:30 to 6:00pm to the local community. Please help by bringing your non-expired canned goods to the church and enjoy an afternoon of fun.

The event will include:

• Outdoor live concert by the Cokesbury Praise Band
• Crafts for the kids
• Face Painting for the kids
• Baked Good Sale
• Hot Dogs, Chips and a Drink for $2.00
• Seed planting in the community garden for kids and Adults. Most of the food goes to the Food Pantry for the community. Come watch your seeds grow through the year.

This is the first offering of a new practical, methodical course in what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and a vital member of the local church.

• Authentic Christian relationships
• Growing our Relationship with God through Prayer
• Bringing the word of God to Life
• Cultivating a Life of Devotion
• Gifted to Serve
• Biblical Principles of Financial Stewardship
• Living our Life with Christ in the Center: Vows of Membership

All welcome to attend as:

• a refresher course
• an exploration in what it means to be a Christian
• preparation for active membership
