First of all, welcome to Cokesbury! Even if you don't call Cokesbury home, or live anywhere near our church we want to extend warm hospitality to you. We are committed to Christ and his purposes, and so, we know that God has placed us in Margate to show the love of Jesus and reach out to the local community. We would be delighted to have your family join ours for worship or one of our many events and small group Bible studies. We look forward to growing in the Lord together with you! Welcome!

What To Expect When You Visit

It might sound counterproductive, but what you should expect is imperfection. The famous writer of the Dear Abby column once said that, “church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints.” There is a lot of good being done at Cokesbury, all in the name of Jesus. However, you need to know that everyone is in some kind of intensive care unit. People have past hurts, current struggles, and future hopes. What should you expect? We pray that you will expect to fit in and find a community where you can begin to heal, and learn to walk in the ways of Jesus.

What We Offer

Cokesbury offers a lot for your journey as you follow after Christ. We have two different worship services, multiple programs, Sunday School and Children's Church, weekly small groups, classes, and many exciting annual events. You won’t experience all we have to offer, however, until you get plugged in somewhere and contributing to the building up of the community. Whether its an accountability partnership, cleaning floors, fellowship, serving on a committee, sharing your faith story, fixing something, etc. you'll be missing out on all that "church" is until you begin to take Philippians 2 to heart.

How We Share Our Gifts

One of the most exciting miracles from God is the gift of the Holy Spirit, his presence on earth in the absence of Christ to lead and move among the church. The Holy Spirit has granted each believer gifts of the Spirit that bless the body of Christ when they are nurtured and equipped for ministry. 1 Corinthians 12 details just a few of these gifts.
